The dealers who consistently get more enquiries are not spending more on ads — they're doing the basics better. Here are five things that make the biggest difference.
1. Reply within 30 minutes
Speed matters more than almost anything else. A buyer who messages five dealers will talk to whoever replies first. Set up WhatsApp alerts (Settings → Notifications) so you never miss one, including on weekends.
2. Photos that look like the car is brand new
Spend 10 minutes per car: clean it, park it against a plain wall, shoot in daylight. Use at least 8 photos — exterior (all 4 sides), interior, dashboard, odometer, engine bay. More photos means buyers have fewer reasons to call and ask.
3. Write keyword-rich descriptions
Buyers search for things like "Swift petrol Pune 2018 single owner". If those exact phrases appear in your description, your storefront shows up in Google more often.
4. Price one car aggressively every week
Pick one car every Monday, drop the price slightly, and put it front and centre. This drives traffic to your entire storefront — buyers come for the deal, then browse the rest.
5. Follow up after 3 days
Most leads don't buy on the first conversation. Send a polite WhatsApp message 3 days later: "Hi {name}, still looking? I have 2 new arrivals you might like." The follow-up alone recovers leads that otherwise go cold.
Bonus: Ask for referrals
After every sale, ask the buyer to share your storefront link in their WhatsApp groups. Word-of-mouth from a happy customer beats any ad campaign.
